Business Rates
Commercial businesses or any for-profit enterprise and government agencies will be billed at the commercial rate. Request a free estimate. Link to our Web Design Request Form HERE.
J1S Web Link
J1S Web embeds a small link "Designed by J1S Web" at the bottom of our clients' Home page.
Ownership of Content
The website's domain and all materials provided to J1S Web is the property of the client. All website elements created by J1S Web remains our property until the client's web site is paid for in full.
Contracts
J1S Web reserves the right to work with any business that seeks to employ our services. Therefore, J1S Web will not agree to or sign any exclusivity, non compete or other contract.
Termination of Website Management
Since J1S Web and our clients do not sign a contractual agreement, management of the client's website may be terminated at any time as requested by the client. The client may also request all website content on CD.
If a client terminates site management, domain and hosting fees are non-refundable. Any domains managed by J1S Web will be transferred to a new account accessible to the client and the client will be invoiced a domain transfer fee of $25.00.
Website Content
We will not design or host any website that contains, links to, or promotes any material that is obscene, adult-oriented, threatening, unlawful, abusive or libelous. Content cannot express hatred, prejudice or violence, or encourage criminal activity. We reserve the right to refuse to design or host any web site that J1S Web deems to be inappropriate. We do not endorse the products of our clients nor are we liable for the products sold on our clients' websites. J1S Web does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, or political viewpoint.
Embedded Video & Audio
All video and audio must conform to the above Website Content policy. Acceptable video formats include AVI, MOV, WMV, MPG and MPEG. Acceptable audio formats are AU, WAV and MP3. The client must have permission from the producer or host site to embed the video or audio file on their website. File size should not exceed 10 MB. J1S Web does not produce or edit video or audio files.
Website Content Management
J1S Web offers very affordable website management and content updates for our clients ($35/hr. commercial and $25/hr. nonprofit). You can be assured you website will be updated in a timely and professional manner.
Payment
Domain, hosting fees and 50% of web design are required as down payment* for all website orders. The balance is due 30 days after website work is completed to your satisfaction. Payments are accepted by check payable to "J1S Web" (US funds only) or PayPal (make credit card payment on our Welcome Page).
*The Starter Plan requires full payment up front. Down payment is NON-REFUNDABLE.
Annual Domain & Hosting Renewal
Annual hosting and domain renewal is invoiced 30 days prior to the renewal date.
If hosting expires due to non-payment, a $50 re-activation fee will be applied to restore hosting. The domain registrar may also apply additional charges to redeem your expired domain. Domains renewed by J1S Web remains the property of J1S Web until the renewal payment is received from the client.
